Shipping & Returns

We're proud to offer free shipping on every order within the US.

Orders will ship out within 1-3 business days of the order unless we are currently attending a convention, in which case there will be a note on the front page and the shopping cart letting you know that there will be a delay.

An email will also be sent to each person who places an order during this time to notify them of a shipping date for their order.

Please email us before you place your order if you have special circumstances that must be met regarding delivery.

Hobbypolis is not responsible for any damage or loss during shipping.

If a claim must be filed, a customer must make the claim with the shipper.
Hobbypolis will provide assistance and any information necessary to aid a customer during their claims process.

Returns Policy

All sales are final.

We will not accept returns for refunds or exchanges unless any of the following conditions are true:

  1. We made a mistake on the order.
  2. Manufacturer defects.

In the case of a return, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
All items must be returned in their original boxes and in original condition.

Hobbypolis is not responsible for damage or loss during return shipping. Customer is advised to use a trackable form of shipping with insurance.

If a product has manufacturing defects, Hobbypolis will provide a replacement free of charge, after the items have been returned and inspected.
In the case that a replacement is not possible, a full refund will be issued, less shipping costs.

Customers are advised to take photographs of any suspected defects or damage prior to opening.

Manufacturer defects DO NOT include, but are not limited to:

  1. Paint and color discrepancies.
  2. Inability to assemble a model - pieces too tight / loose.

Defective "Kato" products must be returned to Kato USA for replacement.

Please contact us if you have a question regarding the quality of a product.

Customers must contact us about any claims for refunds or replacements within 7 days of delivery date.

You have 7 days, from date of purchase, to return or exchange an item(s).

Returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Order cancellation requests must be submitted, via e-mail , within 24 hours of the order being placed.

Any item(s) purchased more than 7 days past the original date of purchase must be returned to the manufacturer.

All returns and exchanges must receive the approval of a Customer Service Representative before they will be accepted.
The representative will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to you that is connected to your order number.
To obtain an RMA number, please email our Customer Service Department (

All product(s) returned must have documentation attached explaining the reason for return / exchange.
The returned item(s) must also include the original box and packing materials and have the RMA number written on the outside of the shipping box.
All items returned for credit or exchange will be verified by a Customer Service Representative before a credit, store credit or exchange is processed.
Do not ship returns / exchanges in the manufacturer's box alone.

Please ship all returns / exchanges in a shipping box / carton.

Replacements, exchanges and/or credits will be shipped/processed once we receive the returned item(s).

Any items returned that have not received an approved RMA number will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender.
